Do you know the story about the Black Taj? If you come from India you will know. No doubt the building of the Taj Mahal was a wonderful tribute a husband can do for his wife. The real Taj Mahal is a splendid sight of architectural genius. Made from the loveliest of white marble it sparkles like a jewel and changes through out the day as the sun moves in the sky. There was a plan to build a black Taj to be made from black marble where Jahan would rest for eternity. Alas it never came to pass. 3:57 min. 2 MB

Lovely virtual trip. I particularly like The Palace of The Wind.

The Palace of The Wind was where the women would be aloud to look out on the world without being seen. The women were pretty well cloistered.

Taj Mahal is very famous indeed. Beautiful pictures, and your music is so nice, I love it, it provides a sense of calm, which I appreciate. 🙂

I have never been a big fan of jazz, but, so far, I’ve enjoyed almost everything here I’ve listened to…. I enjoy the fact you don’t push the ‘jazz’ envelope further than good taste requires…. Music should be ‘accessible’ to the common taste, as well as to those more refined, and you seem to hit that mark very well… Kudos….

Thank you so much for your comment. I agree that music should be accessible. I do come from a strong classical background so that is a big influence. However, I do like the idea that music should be open for interpretation.

The very idea of the Black Taj! All through this trip, I was bathed in this ocean of Indian architectural plenitude. The idea of the Black Taj lurking in the behind as its ultimate realization.

Wouldn’t that be the ultimate creation. The white Taj is amazing all on its own. But to think there could have been a black Taj ……Oh my!
