About

SWO8 is a group of creative Canadian individuals who love music and art.  We collaborate on a variety of projects that cross many genres of music, – jazz, blues, classical, and electronic.  Our inspiration is the world around us and the places where our adventures have taken us. We post only 3 times a week so if you don’t want to miss anything we suggestion you get a notice by email.

    • With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My site has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any methods to help stop content from being ripped off? I’d certainly appreciate it.

      • People probably plagiarize or take content all the time. Unless you are will to spend enormous amounts of money to challenge it you might as well forget it.

    • Hi Kendall,
I have four albums out now. Sahara Rose, Monkey of Sousse, Osaka Time and Manaus Where Two Rivers Meet. If you go to my web page and probably near the bottom of the page you will see music albums, click on that and it should take you to iTunes where you can sample the music for free. Enjoy.

    • Hello! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

      • I am using WordPress. I am not sure what the template was called. I think at the bottom of page it says the layout. It’s a free one. I am sorry to hear about the hackers. I have never had an issue with that. Yikes!

      • Hi Ruaca, WordPress does watch out for hackers, but I didn’t think you were one so I answered you. I’m not using any template. I just picked a colour – black because it would stand out. I tried to keep everything as simple as possible. I hope that is a help to you.

  1. I’ve recently seen a few likes from this blog to some of my posts and want to say thanks for stopping by. Having no idea what this blog might be about with such a cryptic moniker as swo8 I was really surprised to see music as the main topic! Ironically, my son is a musician/composer focused on the forms you highlight, jazz, blues, classical and electronic…should I wonder if this is somehow fate 🙂
Count me among those who will be wandering around your site to take a listen.

  2. Thanks for the stop by on my blog, Leslie. Forgive me, but l am having a hard time finding your actual blog….I read some of the comments, but am not so sure what people are commenting on…I’ll try to stop by again when I can “see clearer”. I’m missing something and am not sure if it’s my technological incompetence or my not seeing how your blog is set up…

  3. Hiya, I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

To create music based on the adventures sounds amazing, and I wish I were skilled enough to do it. I’m just privileged enough to know people who do. Have a great day!

    • Hi manicjan, I want to thank you for thinking of us at swo8 for this award, but we are a award free blog due to our hectic schedule. Again we want to thank you for your kind thoughts.
