Object of my Desire by swo8 Blues Jazz

Well I doubt this is going to work so I just picked this song because it was there on Youtube. Seems like they don’t want us to share on Youtube at the moment so if this doesn’t work I’ll show you what’s up in the garden. I guess they’re having a problem.

Nope, it isn’t working so have a gander at the daffodils and crocuses. Now those flowers can be the object of my desire.

Makria Lindos by swo8 Blues Jazz from the album Efharisto in iTunes

I’m in a teleporting mood, perhaps it is “cabin fever. I’m dreaming of sauntering down the old town in Rhodos and hoping on a bus to Lindos. It was a beautiful day. It’s always a beautiful day in Greece. After about a half hour we arrived and spent the afternoon in this lovely town. On our return, while waiting for the bus, an older gentleman (complete with Fisherman’s hat) approached us. He asked us where we were from – in Greek. We said we were from Canada. He looked into the distance and said “makria” (meaning “far”). 3:33 min.

Sorry can’t get the link, you’ll have to Google it…I tried again and still get the link. Youtube must be overwhelmed….

The Reader by L. Martel

This is a 12″ x 16″ oil on canvas I started a few weeks ago. I closed the eyes more to focus on the book, worked on the flesh tones and deepened the back ground. I took some of the lower rocking structure from the left side of the chair because it didn’t look right. I find sometimes one can see errors in the technical aspects from a photo. The eye is continually accommodating. The photo reveals that. So the painting at the top is the most recent.
