The Potala Palace Tibet by L. Martel

This is a mere, quick paper sketch of the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. After doing the Prayer Wheel of the Jokhang Temple of Lhasa, it is imperative to do the Potala Palace which was the winter palace of the Dalai Lamas from 1649 to 1959. The one thing that stands out in my memory of this place is the room where the Dalai Lama left in a great hurry. He left behind a book on a table and his prayer beads. It is a magnificent building that meanders all over the mountain with stairways here and there, as you can see by this drawing.
