Constricted Space

Thank you once again Mountain Energy Yoga. There is much here to ponder.

We practice Yoga to come out of suffering. One significant source of suffering is being in a constricted space. The Sanskrit word dukha refers to this. Many translate the word dukha as bad space.

We often create constricted spaces for ourselves with our thoughts, by being stuck in past events. When something traumatic happens there is a tendancy to repeat this event and thoughts about it in our head. Trauma manifests in the body by creating tension in different body parts. Reliving trauma over and over will only make that tension worse.“File:Hang the tree.JPG”byRajeevmassis licensed underCC BY-SA 3.0

  1. The power of (unnecessary) anger and regret–coulda, woulda, shoulda–or two of the most common, I think, and terrifying. I can’t even imagine the tendrils it sends out that go winding and curling throughout the body, the damage they’re doing. Letting go is the only way to avoid needless suffering. Thanks. 🙂

  2. BONJOUR ou bonsoir mon AMIE, LESLIE

    Chaque jour quelque soit l’heure
    J’allume mon ordinateur
Ce n’est qu’une petite boîte rectangulaire
    Parfois elle me fais râlé
    Parce qu’elle me fait attendre
Pourtant elle a le cœur tendre
    Elle t’envoie mes courriers
    Sans jamais se fatiguer
    Elle affiche mes mots
Sans jamais me dire si c’est trop
    Elle transporte mes images
    Qu’elle affiche sur tes pages

    Maintenant encore
Elle t’envoie un bisou de ma part
Te souhaite une très très belle journée
    Profite bien
