At this moment as I look at a copy of my thesis, dealing with relative strains induced by x-rays absorbed in various alkali halides, I must say that is does contain good prose. But if I must say so myself, I think the experimental work speaks for itself.

  1. This is what I mean about productive writing applies to productive work, too. So you have to do the work and proved experimentally whatever you are doing and THEN you have to explain it in words and writing. Yes, it SHOULD explain itself. The rest of it is redundant and quite possibly, confusing.
