Nevermore by swo8 Blues Jazz Lyrics by Rajiv Chopra

This song is an international collaboration of the great author, photographer and lyricist, Rajiv Chopra of India and swo8 Blues Jazz of Canada. This is Memorial Day in the U.S.A.  and it is observed on the last Monday of May. It was formerly known as Decoration Day and commemorates all men and women who have died in military service for the United States. Unfortunately, war is universal and most countries have had their battles. Let us remember the good men and women who gave their lives for the best of reasons. Let us also remind our leaders not to be so hasty to battle for it is the innocents who suffer the most. If war wasn’t so profitable we wouldn’t have so many. 3:23 min. 2 MB.

  1. My Grandfather (WW2 veteran) did an interview about 8 years before he died, and said to them, ‘If there were no ammunitions, there’d be no war. But they build them, so they have to have a war. It makes money’.

    Bisous Bernard

  3. I really hate these celebrations. It’s right to remember people who gave their lives, but there’s always an element of admiration for war and a kind of pride in being involved in a war that is even worse in times of high nationalism. Really we should have a day of silence and mourning, not parades.
