Game of Chess by L. Martel

Don’t know how everyone else felt about “the great debate” but one thing that popped into mind was a drawing I did in 1983. It is a pen & ink on sketch pad paper of a game of chess. I see myself as the observer (centre front) giving the guy to the right “the look” (so what are you going to do now?) The opponent, in this setting, is a woman and she has walked off the scene in triumph.

  1. I don’t watch debates. Never have, never will. Politicians lie. They always lie. They’ll say whatever it takes to get themselves elected. They have since there’s been such a thing as a “politician”. So why bother? But I like your sketch.

speakin' of chess, last night, I posted 2 pix of huge chess pieces @ my facebook, and this realistic and common sense quote:"Life is like a game of chess: to win, you have to make a move; knowing which move to make comes with in-sight and knowledge, and by learning the lessons we've accumulated along the way. Thus, we become each and every piece within the game called LIFE."(Allan Ruffus)

just like in our daily LIFE, we must think before we make any move… 🙂

  4. Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?

I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having
a hard time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.

P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
