The Taj Mahal is considered one of the greatest tributes of love from a man to his wife. In this case it was the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan for his second wife Mumtaz Mahal who passed away after the birth of their 14th child. Commissioned to be built in 1632, it was completed in 1643 and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. If you are ever so lucky to have the opportunity to see it – it will change your perception of beauty forever.
Just love this. That last close-up shot is quite unusual and really gives a different perspective on the sheer size of it. Reblogged to our Tumblr.

You have to see in person. It is the most beautiful building I’ve ever seen in my life.

Really beautiful images of that great architecture. It is a place I want to see one day. Your music went with the images perfectly, I felt like I was there.

Thanks Donna. It literally sparkles in the sunlight and changes through out the day as the sun moves through the sky. It is a sight I will never forget.
