  1. Some people say that love makes the world go round. Some say it’s money. As a realist, I say that consumerism and debt make the world go round. Bloomberg reports that Wall Street profit climbed 36% last year, showing 7 years of increasing profits since the 2008 collapse. Everyone knew that a bear market was coming, they just didn’t know when. And now, will Wall Street and the banking industry learn what all of the rest of us have suffered through since they collapsed the world’s economy? Don’t I wish.

      • See, our taxes are used for good purposes, right? (Trying to be funny, but it’s really not funny.)

While I’m not into bitcoins, I think it’s important to understand how the underground economy works — because it seems that, at some point in the future, more banks will fail. And then they’ll not only want our taxes, but all the money we have in the bank. (What happened overseas.) In other words, you can’t rely on banks (or the economy).

We’re not bailing out the banks, we’re bailing out our economy, which actually depends on debt to operate. Since I don’t have any debt, I’ve already departed the merry-go-round. Fortunately, the dizziness didn’t last long. 🙂
