This song/video is dedicated to girls/women’s rights and especially to education. It is sung in French because French is the second language of most North African countries. Malala Yousafzai is a strong advocate for this issue and it nearly cost her her life. All photos are from the public domaine.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing this!! very powerful!

This is off topic, however, I thought you might appreciate this protest song by Blue Rodeo:

Wow, check your spam Leslie, I just left a protest song about the Harperman (by Blue Rodeo) and it must have gone into your spam: that says a lot: the Harperman dictatorship wants to silence it, I’ll send it to you via email, but do take it out of spam too.

I’ve heard it many times already, Genie. So don’t worry. I’ve even signed a petition to stop the sanctions against the guy who sang it. He works for the government and was suspended for it.

I still cannot understand why so many religions are acting vs. women!

It could be that the men in those cultures are having a hard time and the only control they have is over their women?
