The Black Taj by swo8 Blues Jazz

If you are ever so lucky as to visit the Taj Mahal, you’ll be forever moved by its beauty and symmetry. Ledgend has it that this sparkling, white, marble edifcace was to be mirrored on the opposit side of the Yamuna River in black marble. Before the Black Taj could be built the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan, was deposed by his son, Aurangzeb. Shah Jahan was imprissioned for his remaining days, in a building that over looked the White Taj Mahal. The tune in this video is called Caves of Ellora and is on the album Black Taj by swo8 Blues Jazz in iTunes. Check it out.

  1. Wow! Beautiful, Leslie dear. I have not much knowledge about musical instruments, just want to know did you use sitar, dhol, and flute for this rendition? Btw, when was this visit, missed meeting you:( one more query, are you from Canada? Enjoy the weekend, love and hugs.

    • Hi Rekhaaa, We were in India in 2006. Yes I managed to use the sitar and many other Indian instruments for many of the songs on the album. Yes we are from Canada, Mississauga, near Toronto, Ontario. Have a great weekend too.
