The creation of music Part 2

I have two new pieces of music for the next album. Work is slow in the lazy, hazy days of summer. It is hard to stay focused when the weather is so nice.

      • My husband and I went to India in 2006. Most of my music is inspired by the places we have seen. Also, I do some political commentaries and the one I would like to do is about an Indian Scientist who worked for Health Canada. His name is Shiv Chopra. By any chance is he a relative? He wrote a book called Corrupt to the Core. It is well worth reading and he is well deserving of tribute for his work.

      • Hi Rajiv,
We landed in New Delhi and did the usual Agra, Jaipur, Ajmer, then Ranakpur, Mount Abu, Udaipur, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Kolkata, Varanasi, Sarnath, Khajuraho and back to Delhi then Canada. We took a month to do this. It left quite an impression.
Dr. Shiv Chopra got his doctorate in veterinary medicine in India (I believe). He worked in England for awhile then he came to Canada. If it wasn’t for his strong objection we would be putting BGH in the cattle feed and then humans would be ingesting it from the milk and meat. He exposed the corruption that is going on between big pharmaceutical companies and our government. It took a lot of courage to take that stand.

      • That, I must say, is quite a trip. 2006 was the last year that I lived in China. Delhi, by the way, is my home town. What he did was courageous. I worked in big Pharma for two years, and it only strengthened my scepticism about these companies.
Is your music available on ITunes?

      • Dr. Chopra is a hero in my eyes and many more people feel the same. He wrote an excellent book. My younger daughter went to a talk given by him and she bought his book.
Yes my music is available on iTunes and you can sample it by going to my web page and click on the album cover. That takes you right to iTunes. There are four albums now. The music varies from almost classical to jazz/blues etc. I do tend to rant about some of the things that are going on in politics. Other pieces of music are just plain fun and some are a joke. So have a listen and let me know what you think. Take care.
