Every Sunday I have a regular gig with some 1500 souls at the Sunday evening Mass. I love the music and I’m thinking how I can weave it into some jazz.

Mainly piano, but I’m a music teacher for the public school system, so I have knowledge of other instruments, too. At home, I’ve got an acoustic guitar, Bb trumpet, flute, and alto saxophone.

I don’t dislike music, I just cannot play any instrument. Funny thing too because I am related to a famous German composer, but also a famous German artist, so at least I lucked out in that department.

Well you don’t have to play an instrument, as you know, to appreciate music. Who is the composer that you are related to?
Since you are Canadian you might appreciate a couple of my songs that deal with Canadian issues – The Senator Blues, Espionage Blues and Media Tango. All are on the Sahara Rose album. You can sample them if you go to my web page and click on the album cover. It will take you to iTunes and if you click on the album cover there you can sample the various songs. Hope you enjoy them.

I have three albums out. You can sample them if you go to my web page. Click on the album covers and it will take you to iTunes. Click again on the album covers and you can sample the songs. If aren’t able to use iTunes you can also google “swo8 blues jazz” and there are a number of sites that you can also sample from.

I don’t play alone, I have Egyptian fellow at the keyboard, two Filipino’s on guitar and a Filipino on bass. Then there is a fantastic choir. We do make quite the noise! But we always get applause.
